It's easy to feel responsible for things that aren't our responsibility when we care about others, but people-pleasing, and trying to get approval for others or keep the peace when it isn't your stuff can be a cause of tension, stress, and anxiety. Learning to identify what belongs to you and what belongs to others with thoughts, feelings, and actions is important for taking ownership of what you are stewarding without the burden of those belonging to others.
