Summer of the Block(Flop?)buster | The Flash, Indy 5, Barbenheimer, and Rey's NEW JEDI ORDER

2023 has seen the return of the blockbuster summer! However, it seems that a lot of the movies that should be doing extremely well at the Box Office don't seem to be doing to hot. The Flash was a critical and financial failure, and while Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny has been well received, it is not doing so great. With the Goliath double feature of Barbie and Oppenheimer (and can't forget that new Mission:Impossible) on the horizon, we wonder what's been going on and leads us to wonder about lessons Lucasfilm can learn as we start (responsibly) speculating the upcoming return of Rey and her New Jedi Order in 2025. • • •
