What does 2024 have in store for advisers?

2023 saw plenty of upheaval in the financial advice sector, with consolidation continuing and with regulatory changes from the consumer duty to simplified advice. It was also a year of rising interest rates.

This week FT Adviser deputy editor Damian Fantato is joined by news editor Amy Austin, deputy news editor Sonia Rach and reporter Tara O'Conner to reflect on the year which has just ended and discuss what 2024 might have in store.

They discuss the looming lifetime allowance changes, how the advice-guidance boundary proposals which were announced in December will take shape and the macroeconomic outlook for the coming year.
