s1e2: most are familiar with russian culture. as a culture-colonizer it thrived globally at the expense of colonized voices that were silenced, repressed, and appropriated. that's exactly the reason why centuries of kickass anti-colonial art done by Ukrainians remains mainly unknown to the rest of the world. especially the names of Ukrainian women who have been leading it with powerful messages of equality, freedom, and, oftentimes, queerness — decades before it became mainstream in the rest of Europe.
