Liverpool legend on possible Michael Edwards return, replacing Jurgen Klopp and next academy star to watch out for.Steve McManaman is one of the greatest success stories from the Liverpool academy in the Premier League era. Starring for the Reds for 364 games over nine seasons, he then won two Champions League and La Liga titles after signing for Real Madrid.

Now unofficially back at the academy, helping coach the next generation of Liverpool starlets, the former graduate has had his say the incredible season so many of the Reds’ current youngsters are enjoying in Jurgen Klopp’s first team.

In an exclusive interview with Liverpool ECHO’s Theo Squires, he also has his say on the German’s looming exit as manager, Xabi Alonso’s credentials to take over at Anfield, and speaking to former Liverpool sporting director Michael Edwards about FSG’s efforts to bring him back to the club.
