The Wisconsin Legislature continues its efforts to sidestep Democratic Governor Tony Evers’ veto pen with a couple of state constitutional amendments on this April’s ballot. Constitutional amendments must pass two successive Legislative sessions and then be approved in a statewide referendum, but are not subject to gubernatorial approval.
The Wisconsin League of Women Voters and Dane County League of Women Voters urge a “NO” vote on both amendments up this year.
Sue Jennik, Program Director of the Dane County League of Women Voters and chair of the Wisconsin League of Women Voters Legislative Committee called into the studio to explain why.
