八岁女童遇害案首现13岁被告人？媒体称最高检已核准

据红星新闻报道，甘肃一名8岁女童遭同村13岁男生杀害，目前最高检核准后该男童被起诉，这应该是首次有14岁以下未成年人被核准追诉的案件进入公众视野，对于这个案子怎么看？能读出哪些信息？聊聊我的看法供参考。
