Episode 187 | "No Griever Will Be Alone In Their Journey" with CJ Infantino
In today's episode of Psych Talk I chat with CJ Infantino, an ex-Silicon Valley Engineer turned entrepreneur who shares about his grief so others feel they can to. CJ shares his story with grief after the death of his wife to cancer. He discusses his experience with mental health and therapy before the loss of his wife, as well as what has helped him, personally and professionally, with his grief, with a specific focus on EMDR and somatic therapy. We discuss how the high pressure of working in Silicone Valley impacted his mental health and the process of leaving his 20 year career in Silicone Valley to start three companies focused around grief. CJ shares about Unvoiced, his company dedicated to ensure that no one grieving ever feels alone, Hopeless Mope, his clothing company, and The Day After, his podcast and resources for grief. CJ ends the episode by discussing how publicly writing about his struggles with mental health and grieving impacted him, his family, and the greater community.
