A report last week highlighted the cultural and economic value our fashion, clothing and textiles industry provides. Produced by Ernst and Young New Zealand, Mindful Fashion NZ 's Threads of Tomorrow report brought together industry leaders and focused on the current picture while also looking ahead. Its key findings showed that in 2023 the industry added $7.8 billion to the economy and contributed more to GDP than the supermarket, grocery stores and specialised food trading sector.
