An encounter with a Nightstalker forces Danika to visit Bryce at Giffin Antiquities, where she leaves her weapons and borrows clothes before attending a meeting with the Heads of the City. In the early chapters of House of Earth and Blood where the relationships are plentiful and messy, the scene is set and groundwork laid for the journey of Bryce and those she loves most.
