Locked On Marlins POSTCAST: ('LIVE') Cleveland Guardians Finish off Marlins, Take Series Finale 6-3

Tyler Freeman’s three-run, seventh inning home run snapped a two-two tie and lifted the AL Central leading Guardians to their second straight win over the Marlins., giving them the series win and handing the Marlins their fifth loss in their last six games.

Trevor Rogers pitched five solid innings for the Marlins, allowing a run on two hits, striking out five but walking four. 

Jazz Chisholm blasted a 440-foot home run for Miami, Jake Burger hit a solo shot in the ninth, and Nick Gordon singled Xavier Edwards with their second run. 

Jose Ramirez had two hits and drove in his major league-leading 62nd run, and Gabriel Arias added a solo shot for Cleveland, 42-22. 

The Marlins (22-43) will now head to New York to face the Mets, who are heading back from facing the Philadelphia Phillies in London, England. Jesus Luzardo (2-5) will start for Miami, facing New York’s Tyler Megill.
