175: Kristen Marble, a female pastor (Diverse Perspectives)

This summer, we are featuring stories from diverse perspectives in order to stir curiosity and compassion for others. While we don’t necessarily endorse every stated view, we stand by each guest as a fellow image-bearer and a human of inherent value. We invite you to listen with an open mind and open heart as you hear the pain, struggle, and triumph of other children of God.

Pastor Kristen is passionate about hope, loves Scripture (especially the Old Testament!), and in her free time can be found exploring God's creation, reading, cooking, or thrift-store-shopping. She and her husband have been married 27 years, and together they have 10 children. Their family has been blessed and grown through the miracles of 3 birth children and 7 internationally adopted children from Haiti, Ukraine and Russia.

Pastor Kristen completed her DMin at Northern Seminary with Scot McKnight, focusing on the context of the New Testament. Her MDiv is from Portland Seminary where her studies focused on Ministry Leadership and Spiritual Direction. Kristen also has an MEd in Higher Education Administration, a BS in Chemistry, and a BA in German, all from the University of Idaho. She has authored and contributed to three books ("The Scriptures of Jesus and the Early Church: A Fresh Engagement of the OT" and "The Second Scriptures: The Scriptures about Jesus and the Early Church" - available through the Free Methodist Light + Life Bookstore) and loves mentoring new leaders.
