POSTCAST: Suarez Struggles AGAIN! Phillies lose, 5-1!

The Philadelphia Phillies lost to the Atlanta Braves 5-1 Saturday night! Phillies starter Ranger Suarez, who has been one of the best pitchers if not the best pitcher in baseball this season, struggled for a third consecutive start. Suarez went 5 innings allowing 5 earned runs on six hits including two home runs. He drops to 10-3 on the year. 

 

The Phillies bats did very little to try and pick up their ace. They recorded 7 hits, but not one of them went for extra bases. Kody Clemens tried to stretch a single into a double in the in the second inning and was originally called safe, but after the braves challenged it was ruled Clemens came off the bag.

 

The only run of the ball game for the Phillies came on an RBI single by Trey Turner in the third inning.
