About the session:

This session will present the concept of the Direct-to-Consumer business model as it relates to the wine industry, highlighting its importance in wine sales in the United States. It will identify the different sectors of D2C and present the main advantages of the D2C channel.

The speaker will use 1) hard data from the last 30 years in California and the United States to demonstrate remarkable growth and success, 2) consumer data to illustrate trends in consumer evolution and what drives them, and 3) Current tourism statistics and demographics to support the potential of the D2C model for wine in Italy. The session will also provide practical insights and strategies for implementing successful D2C activities in the wine sector of our peninsula.
