Different Accounts of the First Vision (premium JSR)

In this episode, Gerrit discusses several accounts of the First Vision focusing on the key differences. As an example, the 1832 account discusses Joseph Smith’s year long struggle with the different Christian sects but doesn’t follow a chronology like the other accounts and mentions Joseph’s study of the Bible generally. The 1835 account highlights Joseph’s reading of James 1:5 and in the 1838 account Joseph provides additional commentary.
