Gillingham 1-0 Port Vale: A WIN!!

After a long winless run, Gillingham faced a stern test at home as they welcomed league leaders Port Vale to Priestfield. And, on a crisp Saturday afternoon at ME7, Mark Bonner’s men rolled up their sleeves and scrapped hard over a scrappy 90 minutes to earn a priceless 1-0 win.

Substitute Jayden Clarke made the all-important breakthrough in the final 10 minutes as he headed into the far corner to give the Gills something to hang on to in the final minutes of the match.

The team then kept Vale at arm’s length for the remainder of the game to claim a huge victory and snap their winless run.
