Tijdens het IDFA gaat de documentaire van Martijn Blekendaal ‘The Invisible Ones’ in première. In deze jeugddocumentaire vertelt hij de verhalen van vier kinderen, waaronder overlevenden uit de oorlog, die onzichtbaar moeten zijn, omdat ze hun leven anders niet zeker zijn. Blekendaal is regisseur, programmamaker, researcher en (eind)redacteur. Eerder maakte hij o.a. de veelbekroonde jeugddocumentaire ‘De man die achter de horizon keek’.
