In this episode we talk about Dialogue, an annual festival celebrating the diversity and creative talent of East London. This unique collaboration brings together Guildhall School musicians and technical theatre students with local community groups to make and perform new music, poetry and visual arts.
We're joined by Sigrun Griffiths, Programme Leader of our Guildhall Artist Masters Programme in Leadership, and students Maya Khaldi and Julia Koelmann, as we discuss the inspiration behind the theme of this year's festival (Bedwyr William's exhibition 'The Gulch' at the Barbican Centre), the experience and process of working with a variety of community groups, and how it all fits in to the Leadership course.
Dialogue: Where the Water Curves is on 22 & 23 February at The Broadway theatre in Barking. Tickets are free but booking is essential - book your ticket from available from the Barbican Box Office (http://www.barbican.org.uk/education/event-detail.asp?id=20835).
