The "paradox of choice" is the idea that having too many options can actually lead to less satisfaction, anxiety, and decision paralysis. It’s a concept that was popularized by psychologist Barry Schwartz in his book The Paradox of Choice: Why More Is Less.

The basic premise is that while we often think more choices will lead to greater happiness or better outcomes, the opposite can happen.
