Cold War: Potsdam Conference 💣 A-level History Learning & Revision

In this episode, we’ll describe the Potsdam Conference of July 1945, focusing on the growing tensions between Stalin, Attlee, and Truman. We’ll talk about how contrasting post-war aims and the Soviet Union’s expanding influence in Eastern Europe strained the Grand Alliance. Truman’s decision to use the atomic bomb without informing Stalin deepened distrust.
