Welcome back to A Pod of Their Own, an all-women led Home Run Applesauce podcast where we talk all things Mets, social justice issues in baseball, and normalize female voices in the sports podcasting space. 

This week, we begin by discussing the Mets’ four-game sweep of the Cardinals and the continued brilliance of the pitching staff. We also talk about the latest updates on the injured Mets and the roster decision the Mets will have to make when Jeff McNeil returns.

Next, we take a moment to request Major League Baseball add a relegation system so that the Rockies and White Sox can be relegated. We then talk about the messiness of the Atlanta Braves, including the misogynistic behavior by their sideline reporter and the Kelenic/Acuña controversy.

Finally, we wrap things up with Walk-off Wins, where each of us talks about what’s making us happy this week, baseball-related or otherwise.
