This week on the Horror Junkies, we finally discussed the Texas Chainsaw Massacre. We've been wanting to this episode for awhile, but so many things happened. On the show today we discussed The Texas Chainsaw Massacre from 1974 and the remake from 2003. There a bunch of films in this series, but we felt it would be best to ignore those for now and just focus on these two.
The original Texas Chainsaw Massacre will always be a classic in our eyes. From the way it is filmed to the overall concept of the film. When the films begins, you are immediately hit with a narrator talking about the events that would unfold in the feature.
When it comes to the remake of the Texas Chainsaw Massacre, it hold a close place in our collection of Horror. Though this isn't a shot for shot remake, but when it pays homage to the original you can definitely tell. One of the most iconic scenes from this film is the infamous hitchhiker scene. This part of the film really introduces the gore factor that will become a huge part of this movie.
