Why aren't there more kids audio shows? Why isn't there horror? Sci-fi? Comedy coming voluminously out of - and into - children's ears? We ponder the audio scene for kids and focus on the amazing range of work in bi-naural audio being done by Michel Lafrance on The Owlfield, and how Jonathan Messinger is inspiring kids to create and nurture their love of reading by listening to Finn Caspian.

How and where do they market their shows? What is their demographic and how do they focus their shows on those age ranges? How do they make their shows appealing to kids and how much interaction do they get from their young audiences? We discuss how podcasting folks need to educate parents about what wealth of shows are available to them, and hopefully inspire you to crack on and make some audio drama for kids too!

And (Cry) this is also sadly Fiona Thraille's last co-presenting episode. We will miss her truly very madly deeply very much and wish her well in her future Audio Drama Producing endeavours, and she has promised to come back and speak about them one day. You're still stuck with Sarah. Sorry 'bout that....

Our next episodes are co-presented by Zachary Fortais-Gomme of The Orphans Podcast re our horror episode, and then Rick Coste for part two of our children's audio exploration.
