Fact: Sharks are found in every ocean on earth. It's no suprise that the Gulf of Mexico has them too. It's Shark Week, so we touch based with our friend Joe Moore, a local marine biologist based out of Grayton Beach, FL to discuss our shark population in our area. Joe is also CEO of Appleseed Expeditions, an educational service learning company that offers global tours for students and teachers. When should you be more cautious swimming in the gulf or bay? What kind of sharks are in the Northwest Florida area? Where are they seen more often? Are there signs you should look for that could mean a shark is nearby? We go over all that, and some other things you should be far more concerned about than shark encounters when enjoying a day at the beach.
