Blood on the Tracks gathers together four music obsessives to debate and argue about their favourite tracks.
Colin Murray plays judge and jury as the four guests bring their favourite songs, gig memories and music stories to the studio all vying for the honour of playing the show out with their all-time greatest track.
The guests will be given a series of questions to spark the debate. Questions like:
If Elvis had lived, what song do you wish he'd still be around to cover?
If you could be in Row A Seat 15 for any gig in history, which would it be?
Who are rock's greatest siblings?
What is the best song containing a day of the week?
And the show will call on the guests to give up their phone, ipod or media player and set it to random, and explain, enthuse or make excuses for whatever song comes up!
The show begins with 'the opener' where guests convince Colin to go with their choice of track to open the show while in in one 'round' the show will pick out a member of rock and pop royalty - Elton John, U2, Queen, Abba - and dissect whether they are rightfully deserving of their place in the musical elite or vastly overrated.
Guests so far confirmed include actor David Morrissey, singers Skin and Ana Matronic, comic and actor Russell Brand, footballer Ian Wright, snooker star turned DJ Steve Davis and the James Bond composer David Arnold.
The podcast of the show will have additional content to the one hour on-air version.
