Hey guys, here is one I haven't done in a while - a solo episode! In this episode I've decided to share my personal journey to a plant-based life and what I've dealt with through all of that - the why's behind it, the magic that came with it but also a lot of the confusion when I first started out.
Because the thing is that's it's easy to forget how hard things were on an early stage and how confusing it can be when you first start out. When I started thinking about going vegan four years ago I was as far away from that lifestyle as you can possibly be - I was a gym junky downing protein-shakes in the mornings like my life depended on it and I counted every calorie that I ate. No-one in my family or in my group of friends were vegans or even vegetarian and I had never been introduced to the idea of living a plant-based life. But then one day, on the floor of a iron powder factory (more on that in the episode) it just hit me: why am I eating animals?
From that day it took a lot of courage and determination to get over some old beliefs and ghosts in my head. I had to let go of beliefs about health and nutrition and what I needed to eat to stay healthy and lean. I also had to relearn a lot of my "truths" and start cooking completely new meals. But by changing one habit at the time and by asking for help I made it happen in only three months and I can *HONESTLY* say that since that day my life hasn't been the same. My wish is for EVERYONE to understand how amazing it can feel to be leading a plant-based life and how easy and fun it can actually be. But then again, I get it - I get the confusion and the hurdles and the struggle and the pain - I get it because I'VE BEEN THERE! But, it doesn't mean that it's not worth it...
So this episode is a way for me to share my story and my confusion in order to hopefully help you clear out some of yours. I hope that you'll be able to find some kind of recognition in my story and by applying it to yours feel inspired to get to action and embrace some change. Because this is the thing: the world needs you. And you will not be disappointed.
