Notes from Today’s Episode:
Don’t give yourself boundaries, try a lot a lot of things, let your mind explore the possibilities; this way you gain a lot of experience and exposure
You will get plenty advice and reasons to quit and give, focusing on your goal and being an explorer will give you an edge
When You start out; get building and when you learn anything, implement early and practice, practice, practice
Nobody owes you anything in tech, you need to own your learning, be ready to do the research yourself, if you have someone to hold you accountable that is great, just decide and commit to your own journey and progress
Starting out and learning new stuff in the tech ecosystem is quite different from the usual classroom structure of learning; here you have to own your own Learning, you decide how far you go and how much you achieve
Be open to explore various fields and aspects of tech beyond coding.
Demystifying myths
The Myth that tech is for a specific gender is not true; as long as you have the mental and technical skills you can thrive in tech. Another myth is that you must come from a technical background before you get into tech; over and over this myth has been proven wrong; regardless of your background you can get into tech; you just need to be committed and pay your dues.
