EP152 Six ways to (mentally) leave work at work
Sometimes, we feel like we’re always working because we’re always thinking about work. If you spend your off work hours thinking about school and worrying about things, you'll never be able to truly relax and disconnect during your free time so you can be fully present with your family, or decompress and relax, or go to sleep at night.
Today, I'll give you my best suggestions, along with some practical advice from other teachers in the 40 Hour Teacher Workweek Club, on how you can mentally leave work at work. Some of their suggestions are so creative on how they transition from work to home that I've never heard of or thought of myself!
Listen in to these unique suggestions to find ways to turn off your "teacher brain." With both practice and self-discipline, you'll be on your way in making progress to truly disconnecting during your free time away from work!
