Reaction behaviour with flares in ammunition boxes 2017 to 2018

For defence against air-to-air or ground-to-air guided missiles, military aircraft deploy countermeasures known as "chaffs" and "flares". For the very first time, a scientific study is being made of how the fire from flares spreads under real storage conditions, as encountered in munitions boxes on military air bases. The film shows the preparations for and the main three-day experiment on the Hinterrhein tank firing range.
