The Currywurst. Or perhaps “curry-ketchup sausage” are as common in Germany as perhaps hamburgers in the States. It’s a beloved snack, and an after-party savior. Currywurst has an interesting post-war history, and even started from an American GI influence in Berlin (or Hamburg)—yet never made it back to the US. Except when you buy Heinz Curryketschup in a German Delikatessen.
