When more women are seated at decision-making tables, better decisions are made. Yet despite the progress toward gender equity over recent decades, women still lag behind men on many measures — from what they earn to the power they wield at decision making tables. While many factors explain the gender gap, one of the most important levers to plugging the ‘leaky pipeline’ and capturing the full value of gender diversity and inclusion, is emboldening women to overcome their own lack of self-confidence, embrace their feminine leadership strengths and step fully into their power as change makers. In this International Women’s Day 2019 edition, I share a few thoughts on how we can support more women in doing just that.
