Prayed on Monday and Saturday
1. The Annunciation of the Lord (Luke 1: 26-28) The angel Gabriel was sent by God to Mary to tell her she would be the mother of God. He said, "Hail, full of Grace! The Lord is with you!" And, she responded, "Behold the handmaid of the Lord. Be it done unto me according to your word."
2. The Visitation (Luke 1: 39-41) Mary went to visit her holy cousin Elizabeth she was greeted by, "Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb! and Mary answered with the Magnificat.
3. The Nativity of the Lord (Luke 2: 7) Mary brought forth the redeemer of the world in a manger in Bethelem, whereupon choirs of angels filled the heavens with their exultant song of praise, "Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace to men of goodwill."
4. The Presentation of the Lord in the Temple (Luke 2: 27 - 30) Obedient to the law of Moses, Mary presented her son in the temple, where the holy prophet Simeon, taking the child in his arms, offered thanks to God for allowing him to look upon his Savior and foretold your suffering by the words, "Your soul also a sword shall pierce."
5. The Finding of the Child Jesus in the Temple (Luke 2: 45-47) After seeking their lost son for three days they discovered him in the Temple speaking with the teachers and upon your request, he obediently returned home with you.
