Little Fires Everywhere with Jenaye Arbelo-Figueroa, Ann Givens & Carmelita Rogers (Episode 14)
Based on Celeste Ng's 2017 bestseller, "Little Fires Everywhere" follows the intertwined fates of the picture-perfect Richardson family and the enigmatic mother and daughter who upend their lives. In this episode, we look take a look at the theme of motherhood in this series. This series is full of so many themes that include: motherhood, surrogacy, race, class, sexuality, art, adolescence, choice/abortion, finance, white matriarchy, etc. However, this month the focus is motherhood. In this conversation, if you've seen the series for yourself, you will know we were not able to capture even half the conversations we could've had on motherhood. However, we got the conversation rolling. There are definitely spoilers in this episode, so if you have not watched the series and plan to, you will want to hold off on listening to this conversation. Enjoy!
