Happy Saturday! It's the first episode of spooky season and I thought it would be nice to play a lil trick on you, dear listener. Today we're talking about the P.T. Barnum of bones, Albert C Koch! P.T. Barnum might also have been the P.T. Barnum of bones but I never saw the Greatest Showman so I will never know. We're talking about two amazing hoaxes, the Chimeric Missourium and the Hydrarchos. If you listen closely there is a third bonus hoax, the Zeuglodon. But these collections of bones helped Koch gain international fame with the public, and international infamy with the scientific community. It's fun to be a trickster. I support him fully.
