The Burn | Gaming stuff. Blazing fast.
Leisure:Games
In this episode of THE BURN, hosts Aviv Icel Manoach and Omer Timetwister Kaplan discuss Loop Hero, a new card-based rogue-lite game; and a throwback to Terraria, which is already 10 years old!
Original recording date - March 24th, 2021.
Game of the Show: Loop Hero
Published by Four Quarters, MSRP $15, Buy on Humble (Partner Link)
Loop hero is one of those games that looks really crappy when you look at the surface but have such an amazing gameplay loop (pun kind of intended) that keep you engaged. It’s kind of a combination of a rogue-lite, deck builder and an auto-battler (I know, the first time I was like “what am I even playing”) but it all makes sense, trust me.
On a side note, I like how Devolver publishes really outlandish but really good games, they almost reached the ‘buy new games as they come out’ status, which right now is only reserved to Image and Form (Steam World people).
Throwback: Terraria - also on Stadia 🎉
