On this episode of The Lovecast Dave O Rama lays out a feast of schizophonic globalsonics featuring some incredibly talented national and international musical talent. A fusion of flavours from across Canada and around the world.
Featured on the program is Dave's interview with Cree-Dene musician, educator, and music therapist Sherryl Sewepagaham, who recently led a team of academics and Indigenous music experts in the creation of the Kanata: Contemporary Indigenous Artists and Their Music learning resource developed for students between grades 7 and 12.
The Kanata curriculum also features participation from three diverse Indigenous music creators. Silla & Rise, Jeremy Dutcher, and Snotty Nose Rez Kids.
In addition to all that the program also includes clips from interviews with members of Silla & Rise as well as roots rocker Adrian Sutherland.
The Lovecast is a two hour broad spectrum music exploration show hosted by Dave O Rama and airing Fridays from 12AM to 2AM PST on CIUT FM Toronto Canada, focusing on global grooves and funkee schizophonics, and is syndicated on www.bluesandrootsradio.com, www.ubuntu.fm, CJMP FM.
