For this episode of the Planet MicroCap Podcast, I’m sharing with you the MicroCap Graduation Series: Hamed Shahbazi, Chairman and CEO of WELL Health Technologies (TSX: WELL). In 2019, I started a series on the podcast called the "MicroCap Graduation Series", the goal is to portray a full picture of the Micro-, Nano-cap space – from learning strategies to help you become a successful investor and to show that there are actual real, live public companies that have found success as a public Micro- or Nano-cap company. My guest today has not one, but two, MicroCap graduates in a relatively short time frame, 4 years, with TIO Networks and WELL Health Technologies. Actually, one of the first investor presentations I saw was your presentation on TIO Networks at LD Micro I think back in 2011.

On February 14, 2017 (great V-Day gift), PayPal announced that it will acquire TIO Networks for approximately $302 million CDN ($238 million USD), and since taking the job as CEO on May 23, 2018, where the stock closed at $0.58, and as of yesterday (Day of recording - April 13, 2021) traded at $7.60, ~1,210% increase in share price. I really enjoyed learning from Hamed what it takes to have success in building businesses from scratch.
