FERTILE: A Conversation about the expectation of procreation

Jenny’s test results keep coming back negative. That’s when she runs into real problems and questions about fertility. Ultimately, she must look within to discover what motherhood and fertility mean to her. In this episode, our guest Heather Dowling will be discussing her award-winning one person show production "FERTILE," where her character "Jenny" takes a journey through procreation encountering fertility specialists, friends with children, and family members, who all have various opinions regarding fertility. Heather will share her personal journey in creating "Fertile" and the 11 characters she plays.

Heather Dowling is a writer and actor who has produced and toured two multiple award-winning solo shows, FERTILE and UNEMPLOYED. FINALLY. Most recently, her second show FERTILE was selected as Best of Fest for the Encore Series of Solofest at Whitefire Theatre in L.A. due to rave reviews with an encore performance set for May 20th. For television, Dowling just recently premiered in a 6-part comedy series that she co-wrote, starred in, and produced called DOWN THE MIDDLE, featuring Tom Bergeron and James Lesure.
