Episode 179: Songs Under the Microscope, Vol. 21 - "A World Without Love" by Peter and Gordon (written by Paul McCartney)

Let's go into the lab for a Beatles cover, this time the 1964 #1 hit "A World Without Love" by Peter and Gordon. Paul McCartney gave this song to Peter Asher, the brother of his girlfriend at the time, Jane Asher. It has all the classic McCartneyisms, from the lyrics to the music. And of course, John Lennon didn't like the first lyric! 

We dig into the music, lyrics, and Chris finds his usual array of covers. Enjoy!
