Best Of Year 1: Philippians 4:1-9

Rejoicing during a pandemic, even one that appears to be slowing, creates difficulties. The Philippians -and Paul himself- are in difficult circumstances too. Paul is in prison. Yet, he cajoles the recipients to rejoice and focus on "whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable" (Phil. 4:8). This joy in the face of distress is worth revisiting.
