FREE/DEM Community Podcast: Zyada Bolne Wali Aurtein Ep9_Women’s Health-Not A Household Priority?

Zyada Bolne Wali Aurtein (Women Who Talk Too Much) is a show about women and by women. It showcases their desires and dreams, questioning the limits imposed on them by society -  and explores what gender equality and freedom means. Episode Producer Shabrana is a young married woman who is a homemaker. She sees her unfulfilled dreams through the eyes of her daughter whom she wants to provide higher education which she herself was deprived of as she was married of early. She is enthusiastic about working on social issues around her and considers herself as a feminist.

"A women is expected to take care of everyone around her just like the phrase in sickness and in health but what happens when she is the one in need of care the most?"

Host Shabrana talks about how women, despite being caretakers in a household are neglected in terms of meeting their health need and well being. She addresses the issue by highlighting her own story.
