EP24: From Adrenaline & Dumpster Diving to Surrender

Melissa Palazzo-Hart joins Wyn & Kate for a beautiful chat about how different life can be when we see how life truly works.  Melissa shares how she used force and adrenaline to create an incredibly successful career while simultaneously suffering from depression and illness.  And then she found another way of being in the world that included more peace and flow than ever before…a life where she doesn’t have to follow every negative thought down the rabbit hole.  She found that she could let go and trust.

 

Melissa’s Bio:

Melissa is a creative, high-energy, entrepreneurial Business and Marketing professional with over 20 years’ experience in leading marketing, strategy, operations, and talent for some of the most prestigious agencies and brands. Throughout her tenure, she has created campaigns for some of the biggest names in entertainment and media which have been awarded Emmy Awards, Cannes Lion Awards, Effies, Telly Awards, Game Marketing Awards, Broadcast Design Association Gold Awards, and Clio Awards. Melissa serves on the Executive Board of a Place Called Home, a community-based organization which focuses on creating positive opportunities for children and teens in South Central Los Angeles. She is an Executive Member of Women in Film and YPO Hollywood.

She believed that she had to work “hard” and experience extreme stress to be successful. This led to A LOT of success and a robust bank account but also sickness, exhaustion and not much joy as she checked “accomplishments” off her list without pausing to enjoy them. She has found another way of doing business and life thanks to an understanding of the role thought plays in all her experiences. She now lives a life of reduced stress, better health, authentic connections, and higher performance.

Melissa is a mom first, and female leader second, who is part of the 1% of women that have ever managed to smash through the C-Suite glass ceiling of Corporate America. As a pioneer of women in the boardroom and the dining room, she’s taken the arrows so that her peers and the next generation don’t have to.

Melissa has lived both the nightmare – and the dream – of being an independent woman fighting the old school system. She’s won the game and her mission is to help other women live a life of more Purpose, more Success and whole lot less Stress.
