A DUFF SAID EPISODE XXXVI: "The Millionaire Superstar That Could Have Been" (with Ryan Slocum)
Longtime Michigan sportscaster Ryan Slocum joins me to tell me to talk about what all he has been up to since becoming a sports anchor in the digital world. The six-time Emmy winner shared his experience doing play-by-play for a high school all-star game and discusses the possibility of moving to the booth on regular basis.
He also talked about his latest sports documentary on a high school basketball player from Saginaw in the 1990s that was well on his way to joining the ranks of big-time players in the NBA, but some bad decisions in high school nearly ended his chances of ever stepping on the court in college.
Ryan and I also talked about his other documentaries and the enjoyment he gets out of working on them.
