Kathy Canavan started her career as a true-crime writer in the 1970's, covering the gentlemen bandit case for The News Journal over a long and eventful career in journalism. After stepping away from newspapers, she stumbled into a story on the "ordinary" people who surrounded Lincoln in the hours after he was shot and what started as a freelance piece became a renowned book on Lincoln's final hours. Now Cathy's next book on true-crime in Philadelphia is set to debut in November. Cathy joins PodCounty to share her career highlights and what she learned writing her books.
