How to Reach Others Now
- The best way is different for every person
- Use the gifts that God has given each of us
- We need different kinds of people to reach different kinds of people
- Ask God "What are the ways you made me?" and more
- Your life should reveal Christ and you should talk about Him
- Jesus said "Come and see" and taught as walked and lived
- Sharing Christ should be a natural part of your life that comes out in conversation
Digital First But Not Digital Only
- First tends to be digital app, then connecting through digital media
- Digital world feels non-threatening
- Once we have some connection then meet in person
- Think about the first place people are interacting
The Holy Spirit
- If the Spirit is not involved, it's just us
- What are we inviting people to?
- The Holy Spirit will empower us with courage and discernment
- Believe that God is involved before we show up
Encouragement to Reach Out
- Share your life
- Don't hide the Christian side of your life, but don't "shove it" at people
- People come to know and follow Jesus, not because the person who told them is perfect
- It's not about fixing something first
- Trust that Jesus is involved
All About Serving
- Continue to encourage people to serve in the church, and find ways or reasons to interact with people in the community
- Do you know your neighbour?
- Start simply
- A gesture of hospitality
- Following after Jesus will look a little different for each of us
- Engaging in the Scriptures
