Meet Ryan Joseph Allen!

Ryan Joseph Allen is an Author, Transformational Coach, and Speaker sharing his life experiences, vast nonprofit expertise, and ultimately ……leading leaders. Ryan authentically shares his story to inspire others to share their stories.

Ryan has navigated the nonprofit sector by cofounding, founding, and acting as the Executive Director for various nonprofit organizations. His goal is to LEAD the LEADERS and show others how to impact the community and world through kindness, acceptance, and love!

Currently Ryan is working on wrapping up his memoir titled, “My Drug Dealer Brought Me To God.” Ryan is also about to start his dissertation process for his doctorate work from Xavier University bridging the gap between the LGBTQ+ and spirituality communities with a focus on post traumatic growth from religious trauma for LGBTQ+ identifying community members. 

A significant gap exists in the LGBTQ+ community and organized religion. This leads to much higher rates of addiction, abuse, mental health issues, and ultimately suicide.. Through authentically telling ones story Ryan desires to close the gap and to assist others in finding hope.

Ryan traversed opioid addiction, severe mental health issues, and suicide. His drug dealer made this journey possible by helping him reconnect with his true version of God. In order to share his story more widely 15 hours of his recorded memoir is being turned into a physical book, ebook, audiobook, workbook and a raw podcast. Through this work Ryan is closing the gap by bringing together those in the LGBTQ, mental health, spiritual/religious and recovery communities.

Ryan believes these communities benefit from the love and guidance…. formally through the workbook exercises and informally through learning from Ryan’s story how to love and accept themselves.
