Please note: This episode was produced prior to the passing of SB 8, the "Texas Heartbeat Act." In our next episode, we plan to address these injustices.
Women and people with uteruses are often othered in the workplace. Any show of emotion (i.e. stress, anxiety, sadness) is tacked up to "hormones"--while men's anger is considered not only palatable, but a leadership quality. This feels a lot more like a male-driven conscious ignorance of the true body horror that anyone with a uterus undergoes before, during, or after their period, or during pregnancy, or even during menopause. In this episode, we address a little-addressed issue: the ever-evolving range of symptoms / bodily dysfunctions that, at any given time, may or may not be indicative of PMS, pregnancy, or menopause--a syndrome otherwise known as Schrödinger's PMS.
