Known for his ‘Happy little trees’ iconic hairstyle and laughter, Bob Ross was America’s favourite art instructor and one of the most recognisable faces in television from the past forty years. On his programme called ‘The Joy of Painting’ he instructed the ‘wet on wet technique’ across America and the world. Now his life and times are remembered in the documentary ‘Bob Ross: Happy accidents, betrayal and greed’ that exposes the acts taken by the company ‘Bob Ross Inc.’ after Ross’s death, passing away of cancer in 1995. The company fought to keep Ross’s death under wraps, and now none of his money is earned by his estate or his family. His son, Steve Ross, campaigns to gain back what he lost, and still teaches Bob’s technique to this day with the help of family friend, Dana Jester. The Reel Guys, Corey and Murray take a look through the documentary’s content and themes as well as play some Bob Ross trivia to test their knowledge of the famous painter after watching the Netflix-produced Documentary. It’s no happy accident, so grab your 2” brush and painting knife and get ready to beat the devil out of it!
