Now that we are headed towards the darkest time of the year, I wanted to record a special episode and have a open and honest discussion about mental health. Today's interview is with Joseph Fusaro, writer and mental health advocate. Joseph started struggling with mental health issues like depression, anxiety, and ADD from the time he was a teenager. After years of trying to manage his mental health with drug abuse and institutions , Joseph went into a deep psychosis in his late 20's. What he didn't know at the time, was that this breakdown would eventually lead him towards a path of recovery. Joseph has spoken all over the US about mental health awareness and suicide prevention with organizations such as, NAMI (national alliance on mental Illness), This is my brave, and JCK foundation in West Chester NY. Joseph openly discusses his story and has helped him get to where he is today.
