It is a very weird time in the film industry right now, there has been talks about a possible strike, the Crews are trying to request better living conditions from the studio execs and they are not here to listen.
We brought IATSE Local 44 Union board members Mike Loomer and Zach Knight in to simply break down exactly what is happening in the film industry from the crews side.
We currently work 12-16 hour days average 5-6 days a week with no requirement to have a lunch break. on top of that they only need to give us 8 hours off in between shifts. These are just a few problems that the crews want to change just to make it more humane in the industry we all love and to be able to make time for our families and have a bit more of a personal life.
On this episode we explain everything in a way that everyone can understand.
